"Elizabeth is awesome!.... she has great energy. Her classes are challenging and the pace is perfect. I'm actually more limber than I was in high school and my lower back is happy again." Mark W.
"Elizabeth's class creates a perfect balance for me between spiritual re-centering, physical challenge, and mental awareness throughout. I always leave the class in a renewed state; far better off than when I arrived." Jenna P. |

Group Yoga Classes: All of my yoga classes are taught in a Vinyasa, or flowing, style that links breath with movement. The intent is to allow the prana, or life energy, to move more freely in the body. We transition through a series of standing sequences and progress into a deeper, quieter practice toward the end of class. Simple meditation in the beginning and at the end are also always a part of our time together and help to facilitate a quieter mind and a deeper connection to the postures and the breath. We work the physical body by moving through our standing sequences and we open the subtle body through long held stretches. The mind and emotions are also encouraged to rest in a sattvic, or balanced, state and all the while we are breathing! breathing! breathing! *see the next web page for class descriptions and my schedule
Private Yoga Sessions: I also teach private yoga sessions for those who want a more in-depth approach to their practice. Yogis with limitations either from injury or illness are encouraged to come to a one-on-one class so that proper ways of modifying poses can be addressed to prevent injury or strain. Even if you have a strong and alive practice and have been taking classes for many years, a private session can be just the encouragement needed to take your practice to the next level. Also, those who are new to yoga are especially advised to schedule a private yoga session so that the fundamentals of proper alignment can be learned from the very beginning! And... what a treat to have a teacher's full attention just on you and your yoga practice. I encourage everyone to try at least one session. Corporate Yoga Classes I teach yoga classes in the workplace for a variety of companies and their employees. I generally come at the end of the work day or during lunch break, and I bring mats and props. It is a wonderful way to drop into your yoga practice amidst the flow of your week when it might not work into your schedule otherwise. Also, people who would not typically be drawn to try yoga can learn some very valuable stress-reducing skills and help unwind their bodies from sitting all day. Yoga helps increase immunity which means less sick days at work, and it provides relief for many common work-related complaints such as carpal tunnel and neck and shoulder tension. And... it's FUN! Call me directly if you'd like to set this up at your place of work.
