I blend all the different styles that I have learned over the past 18 years as a bodyworker. I was originally trained at Alive and Well Institute in 2001. I have studied Swedish Massage, Acupressure, Ayurvedic body therapies, Breema, Lymphatic Massage, Prenatal Massage, Reflexology, Polarity Therapy, Trigger Point Therapy, Traeger, Shiatsu, and Deep Tissue. My massage is deeply nourishing and relaxing as well as focused on unwinding structural imbalances and relieving chronic tension patterns. I have an extensive background in anatomy and physiology and can give a massage tailored to your specific needs. Energy balancing and subtle intuitive listening are also integral in the work that I do.
I also specialize in working with pregnant and postpartum women. I focus on freeing up the muscles around the hips, low-back, and pelvis to help facilitate an easier pregnancy and birth. Allowing the mother-to-be to relax and be nurtured during her pregnancy is a very important part of learning to open and embrace this special time. I also incorporate my knowledge of herbal medicine, nutrition, birth positioning, and natural coping techniques such as acupressure into my sessions per request. Massage is a much needed part of the postpartum time as well when mothers are recovering from birth and holding and feeding their babies for the first time.
( women only please )
My office is in Marinwood ( Northern San Rafael ), CA. It is easy to find, right off the 101 with plenty of parking out front. I am on the ground level as well. When you book your appointment, I will give you directions.

Testimonials:
"Elizabeth is absolutely one of the best massage therapists I have ever experienced. I have been seeing her regularly for 7 ½ years. Not only am I totally satisfied with her firm but gentle and intuitive work, but so are all the people I have recommended to her. As an older woman, a post-polio and previous cancer patient, massage is integral to my well being and I would be pretty creaky - and cranky - without Elizabeth’s help!"

"Elizabeth is BY FAR the best prenatal massage therapist I've encountered in the bay area. I've gone to some of the best spas around San Francisco and none of those prenatal massages come close to the ones I get from Elizabeth. She knows just the right spots to hit and she's not afraid to apply pressure when needed. ( Before Elizabeth, I would get so annoyed with massage therapists who seemed scared of massaging pregnant women ) She is also very knowledgeable as a doula so I love chatting with her before and after our sessions and getting her advice. I highly recommend Elizabeth and I intend to continue seeing her after my little bundle of joy arrives. "

“Elizabeth is a true healer. Her strength, sensitivity, and intuition, combined with her knowledge of the human body and loving attention to detail, make working with Elizabeth an incredible joy. She is one of the most caring and nurturing therapists I have ever worked with. In 90-minutes she has the ability to gracefully transform my relationship with my body and my view of the world. Her reflexology foot and hand massage therapy…is…simply…beyond words; and her ability to knead out weeks of stress from my neck and shoulders is similarly humbling. She's terrific!”

"I've been going to see Elizabeth for massage approximately 2x per month throughout my pregnancy (I'm currently 9 months along), and my visits with her always leave me feeling like a new person. She always does a check-in before getting started, and she expertly knows how to work out the various kinks/knots/pains in my back, hips or neck. I love how she uses essential oils (if you're interested) so that you also get some aromatherapy relaxation as well. I appreciate her kind, warm, thoughtful energy, her therapeutic massages, and the positive energy she has brought to me throughout my pregnancy. I cannot recommend Elizabeth more highly!"

"I am so glad to have found Elizabeth as a masseuse. I appreciate the time she takes to talk through problem areas and issues before the massage - and she really listens to what you are saying! Her massages are professional and she has helped me so many times when I have had back and neck problems. She is also a fantastic yoga teacher as well. She is thoughtful as to the level of your experience and is able to help you modify without feeling embarrassed. She truly wants you to get the most out of it and treats each person with compassion. Even in large groups, you still feel like she is paying attention to you!"
